Education
 Johnny Rolf was born in The Hague, The Netherlands, in 1936. Johnny Rolf met her future partner Jan de Rooden in 1956. They established a studio in Amsterdam in 1958. She is self-taught (autodidact).

Career
Johnny Rolf was awarded the ‘Contour Prize Porceleyne Fles’ in 1964, won a Minister’s Prize in Faenza, Italy, in 1966, and several Dutch Government grants. Residencies include Gustavsberg (Sweden) in 1966.

Production
She makes figurative and abstract sculptures, masks and sculptural vessels. Johnny Rolf also draws and paints.
