Jaap Dommisse was born in 1929 in Herwijnen, The Netherlands. From 1952 untill 1959 he was an apprentice of Jan van Stolk in his studio in Oosterbeek.

Career
In 1959 Jaap Dommisse opened his own studio in Oosterbeek. He moved to Vlissingen in 1971.
He stopped his ceramic production in 1973.

Production
His work consists of unique pieces, murals, vases and plates, decorated in the style of COBRA.
